  Due to the increasing demand for more business-forward discussions around talent management, we kicked off our HR Executive Roundtable series in March at Blue Apron’s Flatiron office. Attendees included a healthy mix of high-growth startups (Soulcycle, Classpass, Bonobos) and more mature organizations (A&E, Coach, Revlon).

  What began as an informal networking group for CHROs last Fall has now evolved into a monthly nationwide conference call for senior HR leaders to discuss topics ranging from executive compensation trends to beginning the journey to a corporate Board seat. Most recently, Skip Schipper, CHRO at Yext, who began his executive residencies at PepsiCo and Microsoft, then led Groupon and Twitter through their growth stages, lent his expertise and advice to the group.  
  Founders Forum  
  On a recent trip to her hometown, Partner Michele Li met with global early stage venture capital investor and innovation agency, Fresco Capital. She quickly found that their portfolio’s most significant pain points were around attracting top talent during growth. After a meeting of the minds, the idea for the Founders Forum emerged. Here, ten of Fresco’s Founder/CEOs joined FPL in SoMa where Mathilde Pribula, our Head of Executive Search, advised on the startup recruiting lifecycle. Q&A from the session here.

  New York’s increasing focus on corporate culture and diversity has increased its demand for strategic talent management executives. To address the need, FPL will be permanently relocating an executive search team to New York in early August.
